Neve Control Room

The Neve control room is a legendary space inherited from Rawlston Charles, founder of Rawlston Recording, and designed by iconic Hit Factory designer Frank Comentale. Featuring rich wood and velvet walls that enhance acoustics and add a warm, inviting atmosphere, this room is equipped with the hybrid analog/digital Neve 8024 mixing desk, along with a full complement of exceptional outboard gear. It’s a perfect blend of vintage charm and modern precision, making it an unparalleled space for creative work.

Neve Live Room

The Neve live room is built with birch wood and stone, offering a short open decay ideal for drums, strings, horns, and vocals. Its acoustics are perfect for capturing rich, dynamic performances. The room features a 1974 Yamaha C7 grand piano, along with a selection of vintage guitars and basses. Equipped with lighting, soloing monitors, and cameras, it provides a versatile, high-quality environment for recording and capturing every moment.

Atmos Room

Step into our Dolby-certified 7.1.4 Atmos mix room, where technical excellence meets artistic inspiration. Designed by the legendary Sam Berkow—the acoustician behind Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and Pier 17—this room was built for sonic precision.

With natural daylight pouring through three large windows and velvet curtains to control light and mood, the space balances comfort and focus. The color and design, curated by Noreen Ryan, creates a modern, creative atmosphere that elevates every session—whether you're mixing a film, an album, or a podcast.

At the heart of it all is Jonathan Vergara, who personally integrated all Dolby hardware and optimized the room using Sonarworks and our smart tuning software. The result? A space where your mix will translate perfectly from massive theaters to laptop speakers.

Production Lounge / The Brick Room

The brick room was designed as a mixed use editorial and recording space as well as a lounge for clients. It features a Davinci ProTools Ultimate rig as well as an Apple certified Color rig. There are 24 channels of inputs to route the room to any of the control rooms for recording as well as an ADR booth with a video feed for vocal or iso booth recording.

Kitchen

Designed by Noreen Ryan, the kitchen combines functionality and style, providing an efficient space for cooking and supporting events. The design features carefully chosen tiles, wall colors, and wallpaper that tie the kitchen into the cohesive aesthetic of the third-floor spaces, ensuring it complements the studio's overall creative vibe.

Greenhouse

The Greenhouse is one of the most unique and exciting spaces at Los Depressos, offering a versatile environment for relaxation, dining, performances, and shoots. Surrounded by plexiglass walls designed for functionality and relaxation, it’s perfect for videos, ads, and social media content. Equipped with a Valerion 4K laser projector, a 20-foot screen, and a Dolby Atmos speaker system, the space is ideal for screening dailies, new releases, or just hanging out watching movies or playing video games. The Greenhouse is also great for DJ sets, small intimate shows, and recharging in a creatively stimulating atmosphere. The upper deck includes full audio and video capability, a lighted makeup table, and access to an outdoor smoking area as well as risers and stairs overlooking Brooklyn.
